Find Out What AOT Regiment You Belong To Today!

Attack on Titan Regiments

Join an original scout regiment and defend your home from the giant, monstrous titans that terrorize the peaceful citizens of Paradis Island. The AOT Scout Regiment Generator allows you to fully immerse yourself in Isayama's terrifying world, not only by giving you a unique regiment name but other characteristics to complete the experience.

How Does The Generator Work?

Each time you select the 'generate' button, behind the scenes our robots start immediately building your profile. It starts first by constructing a first and last name for your character. The names draw inspiration from both the manga and anime, as well as original sources. Think Eren and Mikasa meets Dax Shadowbrand and Rika Wallborn.

Next, a regiment name is generated. Some are real regiments from the show, like the Survey Corps or Garrison Regiment, while others are original creations rooted in lore. Another awesome trait of our generator is the rarity index. Some combinations are super rare, having less than a 1% chance of generating. If you land on a Mythic rare combination, be sure to screenshot and share it with me on X, because you, my friend, are one in a hundred.

In addition to rarity, you'll receive a snippet of your character's backstory, their personality trait, and their chance of death. And if you're wondering why we included this, you clearly haven't watched enough Attack on Titan.

What Regiments Were Present in Attack on Titan?

The world of Attack on Titan features a complex and militarized society, one that is constantly under siege by terrifying, man-eating titans. To manage that danger, the people behind the walls developed a military hierarchy made up of three main regiments:

The Scout Regiment (also known as the Survey Corps) operates outside the safety of the walls. They ride out into Titan-infested territory to gather intel, reclaim land, and engage in direct combat. These are the daredevils, the ones wearing the Wings of Freedom on their backs, hoping for a future beyond the walls.

The Garrison Regiment is the middle ground. They're responsible for guarding the walls, keeping citizens safe, maintaining cannons and gates, and acting fast when Titans breach the outer defenses. Garrison soldiers aren't as glorified as scouts, but they see combat and carry serious responsibility.

The Military Police Brigade operates deep within the inner walls, protecting the royal family and enforcing law and order. They're often viewed as corrupt and lazy, but they live the longest. They rarely, if ever, face Titans in the field.

What Regiment Would I Join?

Being the risk-averse type of guy that I am, I would choose the regiment that kept me as far away from the titans as humanly possible. Dealing with humans is tough, people are nasty and cruel, but I've never had one try to eat me.

That pretty much knocks out the Scouts immediately. Props to Levi and Hange and the rest of the Survey Corps, but no thank you. I'd probably go for Military Police if I had connections, but knowing my luck I'd get stuck in the Garrison and end up shoveling cannonballs for five years.

Which Regiment Was the Most Dangerous?

Logically, any group of people in close proximity to the man-eating, mindless beasts is going to have a tough time staying alive. That means the Scouts take the top spot for danger. Their death rate is staggering. In the anime, entire squads are wiped out in minutes. You can be a top-ranked cadet and still get obliterated by a 15-meter titan before lunch.

That said, being Garrison during a breach isn't exactly a picnic either. You have to respond fast, think on your feet, and hope you're not stationed in Trost the day a Colossal Titan decides to kick your wall in.

Which Regiment Was the Safest to Join?

Safest? No contest, Military Police. These are the guys who sit in the inner city sipping wine and pushing papers while the Scouts are losing limbs. Sure, they deal with human crime and the occasional conspiracy, but their titan exposure is close to zero.

The catch? You need to be top ten in your cadet class to even qualify. Which means if you're not smart, fast, or politically connected, you'll never see the cushy life.

Scout vs Garrison vs Police

Here's the breakdown:

  • Scouts: For the brave and borderline suicidal. You'll be remembered as a hero, if they find your body. But death is all but certain unless you are packing some serious plot armor.
  • Garrison: The working class. You do your job, protect people, and occasionally die horribly.
  • Military Police: The elites. You live long, eat well, and probably die of politics, not teeth. I imagine if 401ks or the equivalent exist in this world these individuals would have the best of the best.

Each has its purpose, each has its risk. That tension is what makes Attack on Titan feel so real. No one is completely safe. No one is completely in control. And everyone, regardless of rank or uniform, is fighting for survival.

Which Regiment Pays the Best?

The question of currency doesn't really come up much in Attack on Titan, but given the society had jobs and merchants, money must've played a major role in everyday life. The wage distribution is a bit of a question mark, as Eren's father Grisha was a medical doctor, which in nearly every society is a high-paying gig.

But the Yeagers lived in a pretty modest house, and Eren and Mikasa wore the same clothes other working-class kids did. Maybe the family was less flashy and materialistic, but the only people we see who truly look wealthy are the aristocrats and politicians.

That being said, I still think the Scout Regiment should be the best-paying since it's the most dangerous, and they'd need to do something to attract recruits. But just because it's the most dangerous doesn't mean you'll get the biggest paycheck. I'm leaning toward the MPs for best benefits and pay, given how close they are to Wall Sina, the most wealthy area, and the fact that they often take bribes.

Who Joins Which Regiment?

Similar to rankings for schools and other social clubs, scores from written and physical exams play a major role in where you end up. Top ten cadets in each class have the option to join the Military Police, which is the most exclusive and least deadly route. Everyone else gets funneled into either the Garrison or the Scouts, depending on their strengths, preferences, and how much of a death wish they have.

But, like most things in life, test scores aren't the only factor. Nepotism, favoritism, and politics almost certainly play a role, even in a world constantly under siege. If your uncle is a captain in the Garrison or your aunt scrubs floors at the Military Police HQ, don’t be surprised if you get “recommended” for a post you didn’t exactly earn.

Even though titans are having a buffet outside our doorsteps, the old adage remains the same,it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.

Make Your Regiment, And Your Fate

Now it's your turn. Tap the button and generate your identity. Will you be a rare-blooded tactician in the Titan Containment Division? Or a reckless scout with nothing but a death wish and a broken blade? Will you survive, rise in rank, or die in the mud during your first mission? There's only one way to find out.

This generator was made for fans who want more, more immersion, more storytelling, more grit. It's not just for laughs (though some names are hilarious). It's about creating a connection to the world of Attack on Titan, a world that is harsh, beautiful, and unforgettable.
