Moving operating systems is easier than ever with many native and third-party tools supporting seamless transitions from iOS to Android and vice versa. However, when it comes to transferring your game data, things can get complicated. Data saved in the Google Play Store cannot be transferred to Apple's Game Center, leaving those switching operating systems without a viable means of bringing their hard-earned progress over.
Fortunately, for players of Botworld Adventures, there is a way to transfer Botworld progress from Android to iOS. This method works the other way around too, but since I'm partial to Apple, I'll focus on that. Google's constant mistreatment of independent websites and publishers like yours truly is well-documented, but I digress. Here's how I managed to move my years-long Botworld Adventure progress from my Google Pixel to my iPhone.
Create a new save file on your new device.
Take a screenshot of your original Player ID and save it in a file or text document.
Do the same for the new game save on your new device.
Contact Botworld via the in-app support or by opening a ticket on their Discord server.
Include screenshots of both the original and new Player IDs in your message.
Send off the email or message, and wait for a response (the devs are usually pretty quick).
Once you hear back, boot up Botworld, and enjoy your progress on the new device!
To complete the transfer, you'll need to have a new Player ID to move your old data to. To get one, simply download Botworld Adventures from the Google Play Store or the App Store. After the download, navigate to your settings in the game and find your unique Player ID at the bottom of the screen.
This process, of course, assumes you can still access your old save file. But what if your phone is completely destroyed and you can't access another device to pull the data? Don't worry, I've got a fix for you!
If you have access to a Windows PC or laptop, you can still access your Google Play data for Botworld Adventures. Head over to your favorite search engine and download the Google Play Beta desktop app. This app will allow you to download Botworld and retrieve the Player ID you need to get your data off your old Android system.
No, you cannot keep both your iOS and Android save files after the transfer is complete. The devs will delete your old save, and you'll be able to continue your adventure with the new one.
Whether you're an Android user or a hardcore Apple fan, you can enjoy Botworld without worrying about losing your progress when you switch devices. If you're looking for more bot-themed content, check out my guide on using Slicer and learn the easiest way to get Virus in Botworld.
