How To Unlock Virus in Botworld Odyssey

Virus is an Epic rarity Brawler type bot in Botworld Odyssey that has the ability to 'hack' opposing bots. A hack, as one would guess, allows you to infiltrate your target's operating system and make it do your bidding. If you choose the right AI upgrade path for Virus, the infected bots will have ther damage output amplified.

Unlocking Virus in Botworld Adventures required a ton of RNG and days of waiting but fortunately Botworld Odyssey makes it super easy to unlock my favorite bot.

Where is Virus in Botworld Adventure?

Unlike locating Phantom getting your hands on the coveted Virus botframe does not require a trip to the Danger Zone. Rather, you'll just need to progress far enough into the story to unlock the Parched Sea. Once you've landed there make your way to the Ancient Crater area.

This is the only area where Virus will spawn and if you don't locate his Alpha Bot variant, simply end your run and re-launch again until you get one. I found mine after only a few tries and I'm never in the RNG gods' favor.

Once you've got him, you'll want to add it to whatever loadout you're running with. He fits like a glove into nearly any strategy and is a Sniper bot's favorite teammate due to its ability to prevent Chasers from killing them. Here is the best AI path for Virus in Botworld Odyssey.

1. Powerful Strikes - Boosts attack damage by 25%
2. Overclock Weapons - Increases hack victims attack by 30%
3. Reinstall - If Virus knocks someone out it can launch a hack attack immediately
4. Speed boost - Boots Virus' speed by 20%
5. Syphon Power - Gives you one extra botpack power

This AI lets you focus on increasing not only Virus' strength but that of its newly hacked teammates. Syphon Power is a great ability that can change the course of a match for you by alllowing you to use your Botpack Power quicker. If you're like me and run a Hack ability of your own, you could end up with two or more hacked enemies on the battlefied.

Keep hacking and smashing through the Solo League

Virus is one of the bots that can help you grind to the top of the Solo League. For what it lacks in raw power it makes up in field control, speed, and versatility. It is truly the perfect bot for most squads and is certain to provide you hours of entertainment while annoying the heck out of your opponents (whether they are computers or not).
