The best ones I've run into sound like someone probably carved them into a stone or sang in a ballard by a drunk guy at a tavern. You ideally don't want the name to have anymore than two syllables. Ease of pronunciation is key but given that these names come from Old English, they may be a little harder to pronounce for most, modern eyes. But that's ok. It actually adds authenticity to the name overall. Just don't overdo it.

We’re talking cobblestone streets, towering stone walls, crooked timber-framed houses,the who le vibe. Towns like Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Germany, Carcassonne in France, and Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic still hold that old-world magic. And they’re not just preserved ruins either. These places are alive. People live there. They run shops, bakeries, blacksmith-inspired souvenir stands. It’s like walking through time and accidentally landing in a side quest.

  The capital buried deep behind layer after layer of walls. Mitras is where the elite live, far from the horrors beyond the gates. It's filled with palaces, underground secrets, and enough political schemes to fuel a dozen betrayals.


• Central – Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
  The heart of the nation, Central is part medieval city and part science experiment. Soldiers, scientists, and alchemists all operate within stone buildings and shady government halls. It’s a city that looks polished on the outside but hides corruption underneath.


• Yharnam – Bloodborne
  A nightmare city full of twisted buildings, broken lanterns, and cursed streets. This place looks like a gothic medieval dream turned bad. You don’t walk through Yharnam. You survive it. If you’re lucky.


• Magnolia – Fairy Tail
  A magical town that feels like home, even when it’s getting blown apart by battles. It’s got market stalls, towers, guilds, and plenty of friendly faces. Most importantly, it’s where the Fairy Tail guild makes its mark.


• Konoha (Hidden Leaf Village) – Naruto
  A peaceful village with deep traditions and a strong military core. It mixes ninja culture with medieval design. There are watchtowers, paper scrolls, and elders who pull the strings. If fantasy had a shinobi capital, this would be it.


• Kamura Village – Monster Hunter Rise
  Set in the shadow of a massive mountain, Kamura is part training ground, part fortress. Monsters threaten it constantly, but it’s full of brave hunters, smiths, and villagers who don’t flinch at danger. It’s a perfect launchpad for adventure.
