Sheller is an Epic rarity splasher-type bot whose design is reminiscent of the adorable little mollusks from Slugterra. It attacks using the launchers on its back that fire mines across the battlefield. The land mines trigger whenever an opposing bot stumbles across them, causing substantial damage.
It's a great bot to use in tandem with others for field control in Botworld Adventures, allowing for damage, stun, and disruption to the opposing team. If you're interested in adding him to your team, here are the best strategies, AI upgrade paths, and placements.
Sheller has a wide attack range and high damage output, so getting him out early in the game to lay traps for opponents is ideal. The bots that will be harmed the most by this strategy are the fast, far-traveling bot types like Evaders and Chasers. Ram, Slicer, and especially Dune hate bumping into mines while they traverse the battlefield at high speeds. So, if you see any of these bots, it's lunchtime for Sheller.
Now that you know where to place my favorite mechanical snail, here is the ideal AI upgrade path that'll help you grind through the Solo League, Guild Battles, and Story Quests.
Sheller will play best when focusing on increasing its ability to lay mines fast, increase its range, longevity, and damage output. I've experimented with a few combinations, and this is the best path I landed on for my playstyle.
This upgrade path will make Sheller a nightmare on the battlefield. But one bot cannot win battles alone. This snail will need a team that complements its abilities and can capitalize on the mines it lays throughout the field. Here are Sheller's best teammates.
If you're interested in seeing the AI path, team combos, and strategy in action, I've recorded a super fun battle I had using Sheller to destroy my opponent.
